Fluorescent Lights

By the light of a neon moon,
Evil creeps, nature swoons,
as the bells ring, mourning night and noon.

We're being crushed against a wall
This society kills the soul
I can't see straight anymore.

Some days we have no choice but to choke
our Selves with debauchery,
to infuse some feeling into our mechanical lives.
However disingenuous it may be,
it's the only way we survive.
Some days, that's all that matters.

I hate the wealth of nations
Intense, corporeal
They are the humanifestation
of everything unnatureal.

No time to feel sorry for our Selves
We must rise through the suffocating haze
Against the humming, gnawing, leering lights
To know they are evil
To know we are right
We must rise.
